Quick answers.
The questions we hear most. Need more detail? Email hello@mytrusta.com.
Is Trusta free?+
Yes. Sealing deals, building reputation, and sharing your profile are free forever. Some advanced features (PDF receipts beyond a free tier, premium profiles) may launch later as paid tiers.
What is XBN?+
XBN is a small token of appreciation you can gift someone after a good deal — a way to say thanks. It is not a payment: Trusta never pays you just to sign up or use the app. When someone you invite seals their first real deal, you each receive a small gift — but that is a thank-you for real trust created, not a reward for the invite. The real reward is always the reputation you build.
Can I delete a deal?+
No. Once both parties seal a deal it is a permanent record — that is the whole point of a shared receipt. You can decline a deal before sealing, propose edits, or report it for review.
What is CVI?+
CVI means Community Value Index — your trust score, computed from all your sealed deals, reviews, and interactions on the app. Range 0–1000, mapped to bands (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). You also need vouches from several different people — not just one friendly counterparty — before you climb, and higher bands ask for more distinct reviewers, so a single repeat partner can never inflate your score.
Is my phone number public?+
No. Phone numbers are never visible on your public profile. Your handle (e.g. @ernest), display name, country, and skills are the only public fields.
Is a phone number required to sign up?+
No. An email address is enough — phone is optional and you can add it anytime from Settings.
Do I need my friend's invite code to sign up?+
No — you can enter their @handle instead if that's easier to remember. Either works, and we'll connect you to them the moment you join.
How do I change my handle?+
From your profile — tap your username. You can rename up to 3 times every 30 days. Your old handle is reserved to you for 90 days so nobody else can claim it.
Can I seal a deal with someone who isn't on Trusta yet?+
Yes. Send them an invite to confirm the deal, and they join as your counterparty. It's the simplest way to grow your circle — and your reputation is only as strong as the people who can vouch for you.
Can a deal happen online?+
Yes. A deal can happen in person or fully online — freelance work, a remote sale, a cross-border arrangement. For online deals, no location is needed.
What is a Trust Passport?+
It's your reputation in a shareable form — your standing, your sealed deals, and a QR code anyone can scan to see your public profile. Show it to a new customer, an employer, or a savings group when you need to prove yourself.
Is Trusta safe?+
You choose what to share, your phone number is never public, and you can report anything that feels wrong. Trusta also holds a strict Child Safety Standards commitment, with zero tolerance for abuse or exploitation.
